As a Testing Associate, you will play a key role in designing and developing a suite of user acceptance tests, ensuring that all testing activities align with the overall testing phase and project requirements. Your responsibilities will include test preparation, execution, defect documentation, and ensuring testing integrity. Additionally, you will provide clear and timely communication to the tech project manager or overall program manager, helping ensure the quality and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
???? Test Planning & Preparation
- Understand testing requirements based on design specifications and business needs.
- Define the scope, scale, dependencies, and resources required for the testing phase.
- Collaborate with the technical team on test environment and data requirements.
???? Test Execution & Management
- Assess system testing plans and suggest additional tests if needed.
- Ensure test cases cover functional, regression, and negative testing scenarios.
- Assign relevant testing tasks to ensure team members remain productive.
- Execute test scripts, track new requirements and change requests.
???? Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between Technology and Testers, organizing status meetings.
- Communicate defect priority and impact to the testing manager.
- Produce post-implementation verification plans and testing status reports.
Skills & Qualifications
✔ Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in software testing.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
✔ Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong knowledge of software lifecycles and test automation strategies.
- Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and automation tools.
- Understanding of defect management and data management tools.
✔ Soft Skills & Decision-Making
- Ability to break down problems logically and draw actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to escalate issues promptly.
- Effective stakeholder management across Product, Operations, PMO, QA, and UAT teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage testing projects and planning effectively.
