Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Associate – Fund Accounting to ensure timely and high-quality service to clients by managing financial statements, working papers, partner statements, and other client deliverables. This role involves reviewing core processes, managing junior accountants, and overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
???? Financial Reporting & Accounting
✔ Review Financial Statements with disclosures and other client deliverables.
✔ Prepare complex financial reports as needed.
✔ Oversee and ensure accurate reporting of working papers, management accounts, and partner statements.
✔ Manage the timely and accurate delivery of reports prepared by junior accountants.
✔ Take full ownership of client deliverables, ensuring high quality and timely submission.
✔ Address review comments and provide resolutions for complex clients.
???? Client & Workflow Management
✔ Gain deep knowledge of client agreements, Scope of Work (SOW), and SLA requirements.
✔ Plan and assign work to the team while tracking deliverables via the workflow planner.
✔ Serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing queries within 24 hours.
✔ Assist in quarterly performance review meetings with clients and team members.
✔ Escalate critical issues to appropriate authorities as needed.
???? Risk Management & Compliance
✔ Ensure compliance with SSAE and statutory requirements.
✔ Adhere to company policies and quality checklists.
✔ Identify and report operational risks while implementing corrective measures.
✔ Draft error reports, analyze root causes, and propose preventive actions.
???? Team Leadership & Development
✔ Assist in training and developing junior accountants.
✔ Supervise and approve timesheets, overtime, and work assignments.
✔ Act as an alternate for Assistant Managers, when required.
✔ Encourage a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and process improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
???? Education:
✔ Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
✔ 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
???? Work Experience:
✔ Background in financial services, shared services, or multinational environments.
✔ Experience in managing service operations and client deliverables.
✔ Familiarity with Close Ended Funds and financial reporting.
???? Skills & Tools:
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions, etc.).
✔ Experience with accounting software (Investran is a plus).
✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
✔ Knowledge of compliance frameworks, risk mitigation, and workflow management.
???? Preferred Qualifications:
✔ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification (or willingness to complete).
✔ Open to travel and international secondment opportunities.
