Job Title: Senior Accountant – E-commerce (Night Shift, EST)
Location: Remote (Working Hours: 7:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. EST, Monday to Friday)

Pay: ₹5,50,000 – ₹12,00,000 per year
Schedule: Night shift, Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with hands-on experience in the e-commerce industry, particularly with inventory management and reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks, Stripe, and PayPal, and have a deep understanding of sales tax compliance, payroll processing, and inventory tracking. Excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations: Manage end-to-end accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close.

Inventory Management: Handle inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting to ensure accurate stock valuation and financial statements.

Transaction Reconciliation: Maintain accurate records of e-commerce transactions and reconcile accounts related to platforms like Stripe, PayPal, and others.

Payroll Management: Oversee payroll preparation and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

Sales Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely sales tax reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with teams (e.g., logistics, operations) to align inventory and financial data.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide financial insights to stakeholders and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not mandatory).

Experience:

4+ years of accounting experience.

At least 2 years in an e-commerce environment.

Strong experience in inventory management, reconciliation, and tracking.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Stripe, and PayPal is a must.

Knowledge: Sound understanding of payroll systems and sales tax compliance.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Personal Traits: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Shift Availability: Willingness and ability to work U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours (7:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.).
