The Education Business Consultant works with the client account team to support clients and help them achieve success with PowerSchool products. This involves product adoption, consulting on best practices, monitoring usage, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role will focus on strengthening customer understanding of PowerSchool solutions, driving product adoption, and ensuring long-term partnerships.
Strategy & Execution:
Encourage others to achieve beyond expectations, offering support when needed.
Share best practices for achieving goals within challenging timeframes.
Provide mentoring and coaching to team members and ensure role expectations are met.
Solution & Performance-Oriented:
Mentor team members on process, compliance, and metrics.
Deliver customer solutions that exceed expectations using best practices.
Foster emotional intelligence through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Client-Facing Responsibilities:
Act as a subject matter expert, assisting clients in adopting and utilizing PowerSchool products.
Partner with the client success manager (CSM) to support clients during their journey.
Share product-specific best practices and consult on alignment with district goals.
Provide assistance to clients in achieving annual goals and tracking progress.
Identify and mitigate risks that could impact customer retention.
Support escalations requiring product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction.
Share data analysis and reports on client progress.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work across teams to identify solutions that optimize customer retention.
Participate in customer reviews and meetings requiring product expertise.
Consult with other teams on product implementation post-go-live.
Lead user group webinars and share product knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities:
Facilitate ongoing learning about PowerSchool products and solutions for clients.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce/CRM tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Ability to coach and mentor team members effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with administrative functions within the education sector is preferred.
Work Environment: Indoor, collaborative office environment with frequent social interactions and work under time constraints.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs), occasional bending and reaching.
Frequent use of a keyboard and fine dexterity.
Mostly seated work with occasional walking.
