Role Purpose:

Managing Consultants at Wipro are responsible for selling and managing the delivery of complex consulting propositions, driving measurable value for clients. They are expected to lead the development of consulting solutions and support practice growth. The role involves managing large engagements and accounts, leading consulting programs, and ensuring quality and internal compliance in business operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Consulting Execution:

  • Achieve utilization targets and act as an ambassador for Wipro’s values.

  • Lead teams of consultants, work streams, and programs.

  • Focus on client objectives and issue resolution.

  • Manage budgets and ensure quality of deliverables.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, providing guidance and securing positive feedback.

  • Mentor and motivate team members, fostering trust and delivery excellence.

Business Development:

  • Ensure high individual and team utilization to meet set goals.

  • Manage a personal sales pipeline to support revenue targets.

  • Sell laterally and vertically to clients, converting leads into opportunities.

  • Lead marketing and prospecting activities to generate leads.

  • Close new projects or project extensions with minimal partner support.

Thought Leadership:

  • Be recognized as an industry thought leader, sharing knowledge within Wipro.

  • Lead and present Wipro’s thought leadership at external industry forums.

  • Contribute to case studies, track records, and the knowledge management platform.

  • Lead assignment team thought leadership and contribute to internal initiatives.

Contribution to Practice/Wipro:

  • Ensure timely delivery of Wipro admin (e.g., timesheets, appraisals).

  • Promote knowledge sharing and reuse of IP and knowledge assets.

  • Develop reusable assets and make visible contributions as a thought leader.

  • Manage career development and reduce talent attrition.


Strategic Objectives:

  • Deliver Growth in Consulting Revenues:
    Achieve performance targets for direct consulting, focusing on revenue growth and quality of consulting services.

  • Generate Impact:
    Grow client relationships and lead end-to-end transformation/delivery solutions. Drive business through GCG deals and engagements.

  • Grow Market Positioning:
    Elevate Wipro’s market position by building senior-level relationships and thought leadership. Contribute to white papers, frameworks, and industry forums.

  • Provide Consulting Leadership:
    Build senior-level relationships outside of the CIO’s office and open new business streams in target accounts. Support the achievement of Wipro-wide account objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in consulting, business development, and sales.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on quality and delivery.

  • Ability to manage budgets, teams, and large-scale consulting engagements.

  • Established network at executive levels within client organizations.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership in digital transformation, innovation, and consulting practices.
