Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Customer Service & Operations Executive to join our freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in import, export, and cross-trade operations via sea and air freight and possess excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Freight Forwarding Expertise: Manage import/export/cross-trade shipments via sea and air freight.
✔ Freight Costing & Quotations: Provide accurate job costing and quotations for international freight forwarding.
✔ Client Coordination: Handle freight inquiries and quotations, ensuring smooth coordination with local and international clients.
✔ Rate & Service Negotiation: Negotiate with shipping lines, airlines, and overseas agents to secure competitive rates and services.
✔ MNC Client Management: Oversee critical time-bound shipments, ensuring seamless execution.
✔ Customs & Port Operations: Stay updated on customs procedures and port operations for smooth clearance.
✔ Problem-Solving & Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues effectively.
✔ Freight Operations Management: Independently manage freight forwarding operations with minimal supervision.
✔ Reporting & Invoicing: Ensure timely job invoicing and report preparation.
✔ Work Approach: Maintain an aggressive, proactive, and pre-planned work style for efficient task execution.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✅ Experience: Minimum 5+ years in customer service & operations in a reputed freight forwarding company.
✅ Knowledge: Strong understanding of international freight forwarding, customs, and port operations.
✅ Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate rates & services with shipping lines and airlines.
✅ Client Handling: Experience in working with MNC clients and handling critical shipments.
✅ Communication: Excellent written & oral communication skills.
✅ Problem-Solving: Strong convincing and problem-solving abilities.
