Position Overview
At HK Consultancy, we are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Certified Clinical Coder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating clinical documentation into standardized codes used for billing and insurance purposes. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology and coding practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Certified Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our healthcare services, contributing to accurate claims submissions and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and Analyze Medical Records: Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to coding standards and regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies or additional information required for accurate coding.
- Stay Updated: Keep current with coding rules and regulatory changes.
- Claims Preparation: Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring all required documentation is included.
- Resolve Coding Issues: Address and resolve any coding-related questions or issues with insurance companies and healthcare providers.
- Efficiency and Accuracy: Monitor and analyze coding efficiency and accuracy.
- Continuous Education: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Clinical Coder (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Coding Systems: Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Medical Terminology: Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience
