The Cybersecurity Manager role involves overseeing and enhancing the IT Risk and Security operations for BNP Paribas Wealth Management (WM) in India. The role is vital in ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, protecting business data, and driving IT risk management strategies in alignment with both APAC and global security frameworks.
Direct Responsibilities
Team Management: Lead the local IT Risk and Security team in India, including recruitment, performance reviews, training, and career development.
Collaboration with APAC Teams: Coordinate with APAC WM security teams to foster secure development and deployment culture.
Risk Treatment: Assist with risk treatment for APAC WM issues using the WM GAIM process.
Reporting: Regularly report security status to the WM CISO APAC and Global CISO.
Governance: Contribute to IT Risk and Cybersecurity Governance, including policies, awareness, and communication efforts.
Compliance: Ensure alignment with Group and WM GAIM security policies across both projects and production assets.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, MAS, GDPR, FINMA).
Application Security: Lead the implementation of Secure SDL, DevSecOps, and Threat Modelling practices.
Vulnerability Management: Improve Vulnerability Management for both applications and production environments.
Production Security Oversight: Ensure compliance with production security standards and contribute to remediation actions.
Cybersecurity Program: Contribute to the WM Cybersecurity Program within the APAC region.
Contributing Responsibilities
Coordination with IT Security: Align with global CISO objectives and contribute to global cybersecurity reporting.
Security Initiatives: Support security initiatives driven by the WM Cybersecurity Program in the APAC region.
Security Community Engagement: Stay informed of industry developments and collaborate with internal IT security stakeholders.
Cybersecurity / Technical Skills
Cybersecurity Governance: Proficiency with NIST, CIS, and ISO 2700x frameworks, and SIEM products (ELK stack).
DevSecOps: Knowledge of CI/CD toolchains, including tools such as SonarQube, Bitbucket, GitLab, and security scanning tools like Sonatype NexusIQ, Fortify, and AppSpider.
Application Security: Expertise in Threat Modelling, Security Architecture, and Vulnerability Management (SAST, DAST, SCA).
Cloud Security: Familiarity with Cloud security, Docker, Kubernetes, and API management.
Ethical Hacking: Knowledge of Kali Linux tools (Metasploit, Nmap) and ethical hacking techniques.
Behavioral Skills
Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Decision Making: Strong decision-making capabilities with a focus on results.
Results-Driven: Ability to deliver outcomes with a focus on meeting objectives.

Ability to set up performance indicators and manage projects.
Proven experience in developing others and facilitating skill improvement.
Expertise in meeting facilitation and training.
Education: Master’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in information security, specifically in technical architecture design and evaluation.
Certifications: Advanced IT security certifications (e.g., CISM, CCSP, CISSP, CEH) are advantageous.
Leadership: Prior experience in team management is a must.
