Job Title:

Station Manager - Hyderabad


Overall Mission:

To ensure seamless operations, superior customer service, and optimal productivity at the Hyderabad branch. This will be achieved through effective leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. You will oversee day-to-day logistics, manage client relationships, and foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and profitability.


Main Contributions:

1. Branch Management & Leadership:

  • Managing the Entire Branch: Oversee all aspects of the Hyderabad branch, ensuring daily operations are efficient, well-coordinated, and meet company standards. Manage staff, resources, and facilities.

  • Controlling Agents and Vendors: Manage relationships with external agents, vendors, and service providers, ensuring adherence to quality service and contracts for services like pest control and maintenance.

  • Clinical Trials & Pharma Support: Support domestic networks and site coordination for clinical trials and pharmaceutical activities.

2. Branch Development & Client Relationship Management:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with both existing and new clients, ensuring high levels of service and client retention.

  • Business Development: Identify growth opportunities, expand the client base, and develop a new network of agents for domestic and international logistics.

  • Client Follow-ups: Regular follow-ups with clients, airlines, and customs authorities to ensure smooth export/import of time-sensitive shipments.

  • Agent Network Development: Strengthen and develop relationships with new and existing agents.

3. Temperature-Controlled Logistics & Cold Chain Management:

  • Monitoring Cold Chain Logistics: Ensure temperature-sensitive shipments are handled with care and comply with cold chain standards.

  • Quality Control: Oversee the transportation and storage of goods at correct temperatures, including managing vehicles, freezers, refrigerators, and storage units.

  • Operational Audits & Cost Reduction: Manage internal audits and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining service quality.

  • Emergency Shipment Handling & Crisis Management: Oversee emergency pickups and deliveries in urgent situations, ensuring client needs are met promptly.

4. Team & Staff Management:

  • Employee Management: Approve shifts, leaves, and manage staff attendance, ensuring smooth operations.

  • Team Supervision: Oversee operational staff, drivers, and ensure daily tasks are carried out effectively.

5. HR & Compliance:

  • Job Descriptions & HR Coordination: Develop job descriptions and work with HR to finalize them.

  • Training & Development: Manage employee training, onboarding, and ensure all training records are kept in compliance with ISO standards.

  • ISO Compliance & Internal Audits: Ensure operations comply with ISO standards and manage internal audits.

6. Financial Management:

  • Cost Management: Prepare profit margin files, review operational costs, and identify areas for operational cost reduction.

  • Petty Cash Management: Oversee petty cash records, ensuring proper documentation and tracking.

  • Quotations & Pricing Support: Assist the sales team with quotations for domestic and overseas clients.

7. Vendor Payments & Financial Management:

  • Approval of Vendor Payments: Oversee vendor payments and maintain close relationships with the accounts team.

  • Pricing & Quotations: Manage pricing for the Hyderabad branch and assist in preparing quotations.

8. Facilities Management & Office Maintenance:

  • Facilities Management: Ensure the office is well-maintained and conducive to productivity, including managing office space and equipment.

9. Administrative Support & Data Management:

  • Admin Support: Provide necessary data and reports for senior management decision-making.

  • Contract Monitoring & Vendor Management: Ensure contracts related to services like pest control and fire extinguisher services are adhered to.

Required Skills:

Profile (Experience/Education):

  • Education: Graduate or Post Graduate in any stream with over 7 years of experience in temperature-controlled logistics in the corporate sector.

  • Languages: English, Hindi, and Telugu. Any additional regional language is an advantage.

Specific Experience & Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in a temperature-controlled environment.

  • Knowledge of customs, airlines regulations, and cold chain management.

  • Experience in shipping, warehousing, and logistics.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role.

  • Ability to meet strict client deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, varied workload while maintaining accuracy.

  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to follow written work instructions.
