Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and energetic Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager Operations & Pricing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for operations. This role will be responsible for daily pricing operations in the logistics department, ensuring tasks are completed on time and cost-effectively. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all operations-related pricing, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure efficient and cost-effective pricing for house-to-house shipments, including STD holders and ODC containers.
  • Manage daily pricing of RFQs (Request for Quotation).
  • Coordinate with shipping lines, vendors, overseas offices to obtain the required pricing as per customer requirements to ensure optimal quotations to clients, sales, and overseas offices.
  • Track shipments and ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain relationships with shipping lines, carriers, CHA (Customs House Agents), overseas offices, and other vendors.
  • Analyze and improve existing pricing processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain Daily DSR (Daily Status Reports) and Monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports for management.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years in a Freight Forwarding Company.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the Freight and Operations business.
    • Excellent knowledge of pricing for all types of containers, including STD and SPL (Special) and ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo).
    • Knowledge of breakbulk pricing is a plus.
    • In-depth knowledge of house-to-house pricing for imports and exports.
    • Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken). Working knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
    • Initial experience or interest in sea/land freight is desirable.
    • Enjoy working with STD and ODC containers.
    • Strong willingness to learn new things and actively participate in hands-on work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent contacts with shipping lines, carriers, and other vendors.
    • Graduate or equivalent; a course in Freight Forwarding is a plus.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
