The Farmer Finance program aims to provide timely credit facilities to individual farmers, helping them meet their cultivation, farm maintenance, consumption, and investment needs.


Role Overview – National Product Head / Geography Head – Farmer Finance

Reports to:

Business Head – Farmer Funding and Gold

Team Size:

500-700 employees

Grade:

SVP -1

  • To drive business budgets while ensuring compliance with bank policies and processes.
  • To contribute to business growth, profitability, and attrition control.
  • To manage and support operations across specific/mapped geographies in India.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Sales Management

  • Drive Farmer Funding Loan Sales and implement strategies for business growth.
  • Achieve monthly disbursement and book targets in assigned geography.
  • Develop new business relationships and manage internal/external tie-ups.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to monitor sales performance and expenses.
  • Ensure fraud prevention and compliance with audit requirements.

Team Management & Recruitment

  • Control attrition levels for on-roll and off-roll staff.
  • Lead recruitment efforts in coordination with Zonal Sales Managers (ZSMs) and HR.
  • Develop manpower planning strategies to maximize business potential.
  • Guide and mentor teams to achieve benchmark productivity levels.

Process, Compliance & Profitability

  • Enhance operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Increase business contribution through alternate internal/external channels.
  • Maintain high levels of compliance and risk management.
  • Ensure P&L profitability and financial sustainability.

???? Recruitment & Attrition Control – Ensure timely hiring and minimize employee turnover.
???? Channel Business Development – Grow business through alternative sourcing channels.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • MBA/Postgraduate with relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in Financial Services and Agri-Business Industry.

Required Skills & Abilities

Knowledge:

✅ Strong understanding of the agriculture ecosystem, farmer funding functions, products, and processes.
✅ In-depth knowledge of regulatory guidelines and industry practices.
✅ Awareness of technology advancements in the banking and agri-finance sector.

✅ Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Negotiation and relationship-building skills.
