Position Overview
In Scope of Position-based Promotions (INTERNAL only)
The selected candidate will be part of the Pool Desk (within TMI) in Mumbai. The Pool function in Treasury plays a critical role in the bank’s success by:
- Acting as the gatekeeper of short-term unsecured funding.
- Raising short-term funding via money markets to cover structural gaps between assets and liabilities.
- Ensuring cost-effective working capital funding while adhering to regulatory and internal requirements.
- Managing and hedging interest rate (IR) and foreign exchange (FX) risks across Treasury.
- Overseeing external derivatives execution on behalf of Treasury.
- Contributing to global interest rate calculations through the Benchmarks Team.
- Covering Deutsche Bank (DB) locations and legal entities (LEs) globally.
The current role is part of the Treasury Office in DIPL Mumbai.
Your Key Responsibilities
✔ Risk Management & Analytics
- Deliver comprehensive risk management and analytics support to the desk.
- Work closely with Liquidity Management, Funds Transfer Pricing, Treasury Regulation, Capital Management, and Balance Sheet Management.
✔ Net Interest Income & Financial Planning
- Analyze drivers of net interest income and optimize Funding Transfer Pricing (FTP) and liquidity deployment.
- Evaluate various funding options while ensuring compliance with regulatory constraints.
✔ Risk & P&L Analysis
- Independently analyze Risk and P&L for local pools.
✔ Infrastructure & Automation
- Support regional rollouts of new Treasury infrastructure systems and change projects.
- Automate ticketing processes and manual reporting tasks.
✔ Project & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Drive key Treasury initiatives in cooperation with Markets, Risk, and Finance teams.
- Prepare Treasury inputs for meetings and forums.
Your Skills and Experience
✔ Education: University degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
✔ Experience: Minimum 2 years in quantitative finance, trading/structuring desk support, or trading risk management.
✔ Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of unsecured cash and derivative products, including risk metrics such as PV01 and VAR.
✔ Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess complex financial data and make informed decisions.
✔ Communication & Presentation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to present findings clearly.
